HCIstudio at Girls’ Day 2026
HCIstudio participated in Girls’ Day 2026 at the Science and Technology Park Adlershof, where students from different schools explored research, technology, and career opportunities in STEM fields.
As part of the event, our group introduced the participants to the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) through hands-on Virtual Reality experiences. Instead of only presenting the technology, we encouraged the students to try it themselves and experience immersive interaction first hand.
For the workshop, we brought three Meta Quest VR headsets with different VR applications that allowed the participants to explore virtual environments and interactive experiences. The VR interactions were also streamed onto external screens so that the other students could observe and discuss what was happening inside the virtual environments together.
The sessions gave the participants a first glimpse into immersive technologies, interaction design, and the ways people can engage with digital systems beyond traditional screens.
We were happy to once again be part of Girls’ Day in Adlershof and introduce next generation to research and technology in an interactive and accessible way.
